Meeting of World Lithuanian Youth 2012

We invite you to join us at the 2016 World Lithuanian Youth Summit July 8-10th. This forum, under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite and held in cooperation with Government of Lithuania, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defence draws together Lithuania’s foremost business, education, cultural, and political representatives.

This Summit is being held every two years with more than 3,500 participants from around 40 countries gathered in Lithuania to hear the thoughts and ideas of 160 prominent speakers from both Lithuania and abroad. Key speakers included the current President of the Republic of Lithuania, Dalia Grybauskaitė; former President of Lithuania, Valdas Adamkus; the Prime Minister; Members of the Government; Speaker as well as Members of the Parliament; President of Costa Rica José Figueres; and numerous well-known Lithuanian businessmen, scholars, and artists.

Over the course of the three-day Summit, young Lithuanians gather from all around the world to share their experiences, discuss pressing issues, exchange contacts, and engage directly with key members of the political, cultural, educational, and business spheres. We seek to strengthen the bonds between Lithuania and its diaspora by facilitating an environment in which participants can ideologically and practically contribute to their country’s development and international presence.

A couple of dozen of spaces hosting keynote speeches, discussions, career and contact fairs, live concerts, workshops, sports tournaments and other activities will be open during the event.

The participants of  the Summit will not only be able to participate in the presentations and discussions but also will have a one-off opportunity to network with well-known Lithuanian politicians, businessmen, artists, academics. There will also be interactive workshops, famous theatre plays, acoustic gigs, dance lessons and Lithuanian movie nights. In the evenings the main stage will feature live music concerts of Lithuanian music artists and bands that have become a household name to majority of Lithuanians living in Lithuania and abroad.
